The main reason for scheduling out your work, as far as I'm concerned, is so that you can actually see all that is needed to be done. I wrote out a schedule 2 weeks ago and already I am way off. Derek has never let me write one for him because he says that things come up and knock you off schedule. That is true but it still lets you see what has to be done in a certain time period. Rewriting schedules is a given, The important thing is to start and keep working.
The One Of A Kind Show is 125 days away. Not long when I write down and see all the things I want to make. It's just me doing it all so if something doesn't get done it's my fault. When you work at home it is so easy to get distracted by the dishes that need to be washed or the garden that needs to be watered. Some things just need to be taken off your list to give you more "making time." I don't say work time because I consider washing the dishes, laundry, grocery shopping work as well and these things have to be done. Our grandkids need to come for sleepovers, birthday parties need to happen and that Thanksgiving turkey won't cook itself. When scheduling, family time must be apart of the equation.
